The Sunrise Foundation Responsible Investment Policy
The Sunrise Foundation is a perpetual public charitable trust with an underlying investment philosophy of investing to preserve capital, commensurate with achieving a level of returns to support its charitable purposes focused on making grants to its community.
As an organisation The Sunrise Foundation subscribes to a philosophy of socially responsible investment. This is implemented via instructions to its investment managers that any investment decisions are to take into account environmental, social and governance factors.
This currently means that Sunrise specifically excludes investment into organisations whose primary focus is:
- Armaments
- Tobacco
- Pornography
- Gambling
- Alcoholic Beverages
