Bayleys back Sunrise again

Bayleys Gisborne have chosen to back Sunrise with their 2021 winter initiative ‘Move for Good’.

If you sell with Bayleys this July and August they will support Sunrise with a donation for each sale.

Glenda Stokes, Sunrise executive officer, says “the ongoing support of Bayleys since they joined us as Gold Sponsors in 2019 has been epic.”

“The winter initiative in 2019 raised $15,000 for Sunrise, and that was over and above their annual sponsorship. We are blown away at the commitment Bayleys has shown to Sunrise.”

As a community foundation Sunrise is only allowed to use one percent of donations to cover overheads. While it is great for Sunrise donors to know that 99 percent of their donation works for our community, it does mean that Sunrise has to source alternative funding for administrative costs.

Glenda added “we have been incredibly lucky to have committed funders and sponsors”.

“We’re very grateful to have Bayleys Gisborne come onboard with this support. With initiatives like this, it means we can concentrate on growing endowments, which in turn means increasing the amount of investment income available to grant to causes that need help in Tairāwhiti-Gisborne.”

Simon Bousfield, Bayleys Gisborne director says “getting the team behind Sunrise was an obvious choice, the work they do for our community aligns with our Bayleys values. We support those that are committed to the future of Gisborne.”
