New scholarships for Tairāwhiti students

When Tairāwhiti Polytechnic merged with EIT Hawkes Bay the Tairāwhiti Students Association was wound up and the proceeds were transferred to the EIT Students Association (EITSA) Tairāwhiti.
The board members of EITSA Tairāwhiti wanted to see those funds secured for the future benefit of students in our district. They established the EITSA Tairāwhiti Endowment Fund at Sunrise to protect and grow this legacy for future generations of students in Tairāwhiti-Gisborne. The surplus investment income from their fund is granted back to EITSA Tairāwhiti for them to distribute as scholarships twice a year.
Congratulations to the inaugural scholarship recipients Amanda Taylor, Bachelor of Social Work and Bessie McLaren, Bachelor of Nursing.
Current enrolled students can pick up a copy of the scholarship form from outside the Younited office or email careen@younited.ac.nz for a copy. Applications for the second semester close 26th July.
