Anthony Gregory

Established in memory of Anthony Gregory, affectionately known as Ant, this fund honours a Gisborne local who lived a full and adventurous life.

Anthony spent much of his working life overseas, particularly in Hong Kong and Singapore, before deciding to return home to New Zealand in 2021. Sadly, he suffered a major stroke and passed away just two days later.

The Anthony Gregory Memorial Fund will provide ongoing support for stroke-related causes, creating a lasting legacy in Anthony’s memory while helping others affected by stroke.

Anthony’s story also highlights the importance of recognising the signs of a stroke and acting quickly. The F.A.S.T. test is a simple way to remember the warning signs:

  • F – Face: Is one side of the face drooping?

  • A – Arms: Is there weakness or numbness in one arm?

  • S – Speech: Is speech slurred or difficult to understand?

  • T – Time: If any of these signs are present, call 111 immediately.

When it comes to stroke, every minute counts. Recognising the symptoms and seeking urgent medical attention can make a life-changing difference.

Through this fund, Anthony’s memory will live on, supporting stroke-related causes for generations to come.
