Sunrise supports charities and community organisations that have a charitable purpose in Tairāwhiti-Gisborne (the area covered by the Gisborne District Council).

Since we launched in 2014 we have awarded grants with a total value of $568,000 to worthy causes across the arts, education, environment, health, social services and sports communities in Tairāwhiti-Gisborne.

When you can apply 

We do one funding round per annum, applications are now closed for the 2020 funding round.

Please email us if you would like to be notified when the funding round opens next year.
