Thanks to the generosity of donors, at the end of our fiscal year 31 March funds under management were valued at $10.7 million, with growth of more than $2.4 million over the year. Since our inception, 65 funds—including named and special interest funds—have been established, highlighting the trust and value in Sunrise that has developed over the years.
Providing grants to our community is at the heart of what we do — it’s why we exist. This year, applications for our annual funding round open on 3 June and close at noon, 15 July. Now more than ever, we see the vital role of our General fund in supporting local charities and organisations. The flexibility of the General fund allows us to respond to changing needs, ensuring our annual funding round helps those who need it most.

Late last year, Sunrise established a Risk Committee, chaired by trustee Whaimutu Dewes, to identify and manage risks. By proactively addressing potential challenges, we’re safeguarding Sunrise’s ability to continue supporting our region effectively.
