Alan Berry and Suzuki sponsor car for Sunrise

You won’t miss Glenda out and about in the new Sunrise Suzuki Baleno. The vehicle, which was delivered this week, is sponsored by Alan Berry Motors and Suzuki.

Alan says he’s been watching the progress of Sunrise for some time and sees this as a way of supporting not only Sunrise, but the whole community. 

“Sunrise is made up of this community, for this community. I’ve been in this community all of my life, and as a locally owned and operated business owner, I want to give back in the best way I can.”

John Clarke, Sunrise Chair, says the generosity of Alan Berry Motors and Suzuki is greatly appreciated. 

“As a community foundation Sunrise can only use one percent of endowments to cover overheads and run the business. While it is great for donors to know that 99 percent of their donations go towards helping our community, it can be challenging.”

“Covid has turned our world upside down and we are grateful to receive this support at a time when many businesses are feeling the pinch and tightening their belts.”

Alan believes “when times are tough you don’t take the cheese off the pizza”.

“Supermarket workers, security guards, health professionals and all the other unsung heroes in our community that have worked right through have done very well. I believe you can help the good nature of people shine by giving back to the community.”
