With the help of a Sunrise Foundation grant, Life Education Trust has continued its mission to deliver health and wellbeing education to children and youth in the Gisborne, East Coast, and Wairoa communities.
The Trust’s mobile classroom, well-known for its interactive and memorable lessons, brings NZ curriculum-aligned health and well-being education, right where it’s needed most.

“For many of the schools in our region, especially in more remote or rural areas, access to consistent health education can be limited. The grant from Sunrise helps us bridge that gap,” says Beau Minogue Harrison, Life Education Trust Educator.
With support from Sunrise and other funders, the mobile classroom has been able to reach more students, more frequently, offering lessons that empower young people to make positive choices about their bodies, relationships, and their futures. Whether it's teaching about the effects of vaping, helping young minds understand emotions and resilience, or introducing students to the wonders of the human body, funding support ensures these life lessons are delivered in a memorable and interactive way.
“The children we teach are at the heart of everything we do. The grant from Sunrise ensures we can continue to show every student that they are valued, capable, and worthy of a bright future. Thank you, Sunrise, for believing in the potential of our tamariki and investing in their wellbeing,” says Beau.
